To find out more about travel in London go to Transport for London.

From Heathrow airport

Take the Underground (Piccadilly Line) to South Kensington Station (50 minutes travelling time).

From Gatwick airport

Take a Southern Line train or the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station (approx. 40 minutes travelling time), and then by Underground (Circle or District Line; westbound) to South Kensington Station (5 minutes travelling time).

Both airports are some distance from central London and a taxi is not recommended for the whole journey. However, if you have to travel by taxi, establish the cost before the start of your journey. Typical cost of a taxi from Heathrow airport to South Kensington is £60. From Gatwick airport it is considerably more.
